    Hi,

I have had a problem with Streamline.net taking over £100 from my account with the ‘free’ trail. I have tried various thing including rining trading standard but have had no joy.

    What would you recommend?

    Cheers

    • Hi Oliver – the best thing to do is to write to trading standards to backup your telephone call, but to be honest your chances are slim without threatening legal action. Many people have tried and failed to get refunds…

Paid for web space, and at an extra cost of £25.00 have Front Page Server Extensions installed as well.
All this was to be on a Windows 2003 server that supports ASP
Its been 3weeks no and FPSE has still not been installed. Raised 30 tickets, phoned and written to no avail. This is the second year I have been with Streamline and yes they do take monies from your bank account without your consent. They will not release your domain without massive charge. Most other service providers do this for free.
I have changed my BANK DETAILS so they are not getting my money next time. As a web designer this company is the pits of Hosting.Wish I had come across this site earlier.

  7. Mrs White says:

Going through a nightmare with Streamline.net at the moment. Signed up for 3 months free trial but had so many technical difficulties with transferring the domain name etc that I gave up trying to sort my website out and went elsewhere so they werent hosting my website whatsoever throughout the 3 month trial. Tried to cancel my account with them but their waiting time took me over the 3 month trial so without any consent they then proceeded to upgrade me to a 2 year deal for their most epensive package….for a website that they do not even host ! They also whipped £143 from my bank account without my permission and on complaining of this they just fobbed me off and hid behind their atrocious terms and conditions. Tried to get the bank on my side with no joy whilst waiting for my ticket to be dealt with by Streamline. Just wished I had done my homework and looked them up before signing up in the first place.

I am disgusted with Streamline.net. I have emailed twice today, and no one has emailed me back. I have phoned twice, and can’t get through. I’m slowly losing the will to live!!!!!! I have probably lost business today, as I am self employed!!!!!!

    • I’m in the process of trying to cancel my last domain with them due to their appalling service and it’s been over a week since I submitted the ticket with no reply – is this a surprise?
