I to have been disgusted to find that streamline had taken £117 from my account today without my consent after a free trial which I cancelled as the service was rubbish, I never even did more than a dummy site and realised it wasnt what I wanted. I tried emailing fasthosts the owners of streamline and also the managing director. If I dont hear back by monday night I am taking this further as a trainee solicitor they will not get away with this and I will help in any way to ensure this company are brought to justice. And of course myself and many thousands of others by all accounts get a refund.
I have had an ongoing problem with Streamline for a year now, in that the knowledgebase on their website states that a particular feature is available on all Linux servers, when in fact this isn’t the case. I was also assured by a customer service agent that the feature was available before I ordered. After ordering, I found the feature was not available, and contacted support. I was given a gibberish reply, trying to explain why I had been mis-sold the product. I asked that the account be closed, as it had been mis-sold (contrary to the Sale of Goods act), and this has been refused. A year later and they have just renewed the contract, even though I have been stating for a year that I did not want the account to remain open. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE, THIS COMPANY IS AN ABSOLUTE SHAMBLES!!!!
Guys, I can not describe in words how terrible they are
